Dog Trainer
Are you looking for a career you can genuinely love—not just another job?
Do you love dogs, enjoy helping people, and want work that is rewarding, flexible, challenging, and actually makes a difference?
Off Leash K9 Training Wichita is looking for the right person to join our team as a professional dog trainer.
This isn’t your typical 9–5. Dog training is a career and a lifestyle. It offers a lot of flexibility and the ability to work from home, but that flexibility requires discipline. We’re looking for someone who is dependable, self-motivated, hardworking, and committed to doing the job right without someone constantly looking over their shoulder.
Most importantly, we want someone who truly cares about changing lives. Our goal isn’t simply to train dogs—it’s to help dogs and their owners enjoy more of life together.
What We’re Looking For
- A genuine passion for dogs and helping people
- Strong work ethic, discipline, reliability, and honesty
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable handling dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments
- Willingness to work with behaviors ranging from basic obedience to anxiety, reactivity, and aggression
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own schedule
- Willingness to continually learn and improve
- Comfortable creating dog training photos/videos and using social media
Requirements
- Must live in or around Wichita, KS
- Must be able to safely board at least 2 dogs in your home for up to 14 days at a time
- Reliable transportation — SUV required to fit a kennel to transport dogs
- Smartphone required
- Availability during weekdays, evenings, and weekends as needed
- Must complete our 21-day professional trainer certification program
Your days will include training dogs, working with owners, taking dogs on training outings, communicating with clients, creating training content, attending occasional events, and continuing to develop your skills as both a dog trainer and a people trainer.
The right person can earn approximately $40,000–$60,000+ per year, work from home, enjoy a great deal of flexibility, and build a career doing something they truly love.
We’re not just looking for someone who thinks working with dogs sounds fun. We’re looking for someone who wants to build a long-term career helping dogs and their owners live better lives together.
If you’re hardworking, coachable, disciplined, great with people, and ready for a career that’s as rewarding as it is demanding, we’d love to hear from you!
